Introduction
Visendi AB ("Company", "we", "our", "us") respects the privacy of its users ("user", "you") and has developed this Privacy Policy to demonstrate its commitment to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect, how that information may be used, with whom it may be shared, and your choices about such uses and disclosures.
By using the Visendi Search - Beta ("Software"), you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect
The Software is designed to process and store information locally on your device or server. This includes, but is not limited to, data from selected folders that you choose for the Software to search. As the Software operates locally on your device, Visendi does not collect or store this information. The only personally identifiable information we may have access to is information voluntarily provided to us, for example, during communications with our team or when creating your profile on the Visendi website.

How We Use The Information We Collect
The Software utilizes your information locally on your device or server to create search embeddings and formulate responses to your queries. We do not directly access or process this data. The Software is designed to keep your information under your control, ensuring that you maintain authority over which data the Software can access. The only instance where we may have access to your personal data is when it is explicitly shared with us, such as during direct communications or while creating a profile on the Visendi website.

Data Sharing and Transfer
When you install the Software, you choose the data to which it will have access. This data is processed and stored locally on your device or server. In the operation of the Software, your data may be sent directly to our third-party AI provider (currently OpenAI) to create embeddings and generate responses to queries. This transmission does not pass through or is stored by Visendi, maintaining your data's confidentiality and security. As of the date of this Policy, OpenAI retains this data for a maximum of 30 days for abuse and misuse monitoring purposes but does not use it to improve its models.

While we don't handle the direct transfer of your data, the Software communicates with OpenAI's servers, which might be located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). It's worth noting that OpenAI is committed to data protection and privacy. They are SOC 2 Type 2 compliant, having been audited by an independent third party against the 2017 Trust Services Criteria for Security. OpenAI ensures compliance with data protection regulations, which can include entering into data transfer agreements or obtaining certification under recognized privacy frameworks, such as the EU-US Privacy Shield. We encourage you to review OpenAI's privacy policy to gain further insight into their data practices (OpenAI Privacy Policy)."

Your Rights
As a user in the European Economic Area (EEA), your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) include the right to access, rectify, port, and erase your information, as well as the right to restrict and object to certain processing of your information. While the Software processes your data locally and we do not have direct access to it, we will assist you as much as possible if you need to exercise these rights. Please contact us at info@visendi.ai for any inquiries regarding these rights.

Your Choices About Your Information
You maintain control over the data you choose to process with the Software. You can halt this processing at any time by uninstalling the Software, using the standard uninstall processes available on your device or through your device's application marketplace or network.

Data Security
While the Software processes and stores your data locally and does not transmit it to us, we still value the security of your data. The Software is designed with security measures that aim to prevent unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and destruction of your information.

Children's Privacy
Our Software is not intended for or designed to attract anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect or maintain information from those who are under 16 years old. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under the age of 16, we will take steps to delete such information as soon as possible.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy
Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. Any changes will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent in accordance with applicable law. We will post any changes to our Privacy Policy on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain services, email notification of privacy policy changes).
